A recent report by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) revealed that hundreds of personal care products, including cosmetics, may contain toxic “forever chemicals” or PFAS. More than 50 PFAS ingredients were used in almost 1,700 different products in 2024. Increased exposure to products with PFAS can lead to suppressed immune systems, reduced vaccine effectiveness, increased risk of cancer, and harm to fetal development.
